This is our risk assesment. It is an important document that is needed when filming to evaluate the dangers each location. It can help us to establish safety precautions that will stop us from falling over, slipping, disturbing the public or attracting unwanted attention.
For our chosen song bloody hands by big delusion we have decided to keep to a heavy rock style with lots of instrumental scenes and close ups on guitars drums and the singers.
We will try to link the lyrics in the verse with a visual representation of it. When the vocals get louder and bolder we will focus on the singer and instruments more with them in a dark and mysterious setting. There will be a battle scene at one point for the line "Now the street is just another battle ground."
For the directors research I chose the song 'Kings and Queens' by 30 seconds to mars which was directed by Bartholemew Cubbins(Jared Leto). I selected this song as it ties in with the rock genre which is the genre we are using for our music video.
The music video was directed by Bartholomew Cubbins which is actually an alias for 30 seconds to mars band member Jared Leto.
Leto directed the music videos 'The kill', 'From yesterday' and 'Kings and Queens' under the alias Bartholomew Cubbins and 'A beautiful lie' under the alias AngakokPanipaq. There are some clear comparisons in the features of his videos. For example at the start of the videos a pattern has emerged that Leto likes a dramatic effect so the videos start off quietly and the introduction of the band breaks that silence and instantly draws the audience in.
There is also a strong theme of human issues going on in the world at the moment being portrayed in these videos. In 'Kings and Queens' there is the issue of overpopulation and in 'A beautiful lie' there is the issue of global warming and climate change which is shown through the location itself of an iceberg in the middle of the ocean and this breaking apart.
